Scientist Pleads Guilty To Stealing Monoclonal Antibody Research For Chinese Pharma Company
“This defendant illegally stole trade secrets to benefit her husband’s company, which was financed by the Chinese government,” U.S. Attorney Jennifer Williams said. “The lifeblood of companies like GSK is its intellectual property.”

Lucy Xi was aided in the conspiracy by Yu Xue, Tian Xue, and Tao Li, who have all pleaded guilty. Another alleged conspirator, Yan Mei, is currently in China as a fugitive.

China Has Built a Network of Informants at the Federal Reserve to Access Non-Public Data
An investigation by Republican staff members of the Senate’s Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs has uncovered an attempt by Communist China to build a network of paid informers who work for the Federal Reserve in order to steal nonpublic economic data, according to the committee’s report.
The investigation found that for more than a decade, employees at the Fed were offered contracts with Chinese talent recruitment agencies “which often include cash payments, and asked to provide information on the U.S. economy, interest rate changes and policies,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
At one point in 2019, the Chinese threatened to imprison a Fed economist who was visiting Shanghai unless he agreed to provide nonpublic economic data, the investigation found. At the time, China and the U.S. were engaged in a fierce trade war, and the Chinese wanted information on U.S. government policies, including tariffs, according to the Journal.

New Zealand, where Chinese investment has been blamed for a huge spike in home property prices, now charges a 15 percent tax to non-resident buyers. Australia imposes a 12.6 percent tax on any foreign buyer purchasing a home valued higher than $750,000 and have been since 2017. And in Canada, the government takes 50 percent of any sale as a withholding tax.
The US, however, does not impose tax restraints on foreign buyers, according to the Wharton Business Journal of UPenn.
Around half of all properties that foreigners buy are used as primary residences, with the remainder used as vacation homes, second homes or a pied-a-terre that the owner will occasionally visit.
Data from the National Association of Realtors further showed that 58 per cent of Chinese buyers paid for their American properties entirely with cash.
The same survey showed that 52 per cent of Chinese people intend to use their US homes as a primary residence - with a further 25 per cent using it as a vacation rental. Meanwhile, the most popular type of property for Chinese buyers were detached single family homes, with 66 per cent opting for a house like that.
Roughly one in ten preferred townhouses, with the same figure favoring condominiums.

China posed as conservatives and liberals to bash U.S. politicians online, Meta says
Meta said Tuesday that it took down a China-based influence operation featuring fake accounts impersonating conservatives criticizing President Biden and liberals ripping Republicans in states like Florida, Texas and California.
The influence operation was relatively small in size and received low engagement online, but could be a harbinger of activity to come as the U.S. midterm elections approach and foreign actors aim to inflame tensions online.
The China-based actors used 81 Facebook accounts, and two Instagram accounts, and targeted an American audience, Chinese- and French-speaking audiences, and people in the Czech Republic.
Near the end of this past March, Meta’s report said the influence network created a handful of accounts that posted around dozens of times over a few weeks before going silent in April.
China Opens 'Overseas Police Stations' in US and Canada to Monitor Its Citizens Living Abroad
According to the report, China is attempting to “combat the growing issue of fraud and telecommunication fraud by Chinese nationals living abroad,” and is running operations that have resulted in 230,000 Chinese nationals being “persuaded to return” to China “voluntarily” over the last year to face criminal prosecution.

A report from the European non-governmental agency Safeguard Defenders, titled “110 Overseas: Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild,” said the operations violate international law and universal human rights.

The Communist Chinese government, of course, claims the stations provide vital services to its citizens living abroad, though the report notes that many of the services would be traditionally carried out by an overseas embassy. Instead, the report says, the stations have been used to enhance China’s overseas law enforcement capabilities in possible violation of international law.
The report details human rights abuses associated with the stations, including the use of harassment and intimidation methods. The stations also serve as propaganda centers for the Chinese government. Yet, they’re insanely allowed to operate on U.S. soil with impunity.

‘While the Chinese authorities say these police stations are created to better serve its overseas nationals, the report noted that those stations have been used to “persuade” up to 230,000 Chinese nationals to “voluntarily” return to China to face criminal proceedings between April 2021 and July 2022.
“Persuasion to return” is a key method of the Chinese regime’s “involuntary returns” operations, which include its “Operation Fox Hunt” and the broader “Sky Net” campaign, according to Safeguard Defenders. Many of the targets for persuasion to return were overseas Chinese allegedly involved in telecommunication fraud, though the report said a number of non-suspects and their family members in China have also been targeted for police harassment and intimation.’

The recent arrest of Eugene Yu, the founder and CEO of election software company, Konnech, Inc. for betraying Los Angeles, the largest metropolitan area in America, charged with transferring election poll worker information to China is just the tip of the iceberg of CCP subversion efforts to destroy the United States. This arrest of Yu on the grounds of a security breach with China and on charges of embezzling funds—is a wakeup call for all polling place administrators in the U.S. regarding the upcoming mid-term elections. They need to unplug and shutdown Konnech, Dominion, ES&S and other electronic voting systems. All have been plagued with erratic vote count problems and are vulnerable to being hacked and manipulated.
Konnech’s “Poll Chief” software, designed to manage election-worker payroll, assignments, communications, and “innovative ways to support their voters” has been used in Wayne County, Michigan, DeKalb County, Ga., and Fairfax County, Va.—all large voting districts that have had significant voting irregularities. On November 3, 2020, Trump was leading in Virginia, until late-night ballot drops in Fairfax County delivered a whopping 73% of Biden votes—an unprecedented voting pattern.
The Konnech scandal has been initially suppressed by an assumption that it was a limited breach of personal data of election workers in one location in the U.S. But in Australia and Canada, where Konnech operates through subsidiaries, the company has been involved in electoral roll data, voter I.D. confirmation, the scrutiny of provisional and postal votes and access to defined elector records. This appears related to why both of those countries experienced election irregularities and veered to the left politically. Governing authorities that gained power in Australia and Canada during the period that Konnech was involved in managing elections ended up embracing communist-type policies, such as forcing citizens into quarantine camps and cutting off people’s access to their bank accounts.

TikTok’s Parent Company In China Planned To Use Platform To Track Locations Of Specific Americans: Report
The story comes after lawyers for the company told U.S. lawmakers that in order for data on U.S. citizens to be accessed, only limited “authorized personnel” would be allowed to under “protocols being developed with the U.S. Government.”
“TikTok appears to remain — despite the claims of its US executives — beholden to its China-based leadership,” Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) tweeted. “With each new report, there’s further evidence that TikTok’s claimed ‘independence’ is illusory.”
Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Ranking Member on the House Oversight Committee, responded to the story by saying that it was “clear TikTok is just the arm of the Chinese Communist Party.”
“@GOPoversight has pressed for clarification from the social media company on their data sharing practices,” Comer said. “Any failure to cooperate is a serious national security threat. Republicans will hold TikTok accountable.”
New York Times tech reporter Ryan Mac noted separately that it was “kind of telling” that TikTok CEO Shou Chew “rarely does interviews, and when he does it’s never with a journalist and usually with billionaire investors.”
