Charles Co. CCPS has new look for school breakfast, lunch menus

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) has a new online website featuring school breakfast and lunch menus. The new website is linked to the School Meals menu located on the front of ccboe.com. Click on the red apple image under the photo slideshow to access the new site. The site is also accessible at http://tiny.cc/kgpvbz.

The new site is provided by School Nutrition Network and features information about meal prices and menu options. The site also includes nutritional information such as calories, carbs and sugars for items served, and a la carte items available for purchase.

Parents and students can also download an app to view menus on a mobile device. To download the app, search the app store for Web Menus by Isite Software. App users can select menus by searching for the name of their child’s school.

All school websites will be updated with the new menus during the first week of school. The new system replaces Nutrislice, the previous provider used by the school system.

Breakfast and lunch prices increased by 5 cents this school year for students. Breakfast is $1.35 for elementary school students and $1.45 for middle and high school students. Lunch prices are $2.70 for elementary school students and $2.95 for middle and high school students.

CCPS uses an online cafeteria prepayment system called MyPayments Plus, located at https://www2.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome. Parents can add money and monitor their child’s meal accounts.

Some students may be eligible for reduced price or free meals. Parents can apply online for free and reduced-price meals. The application for the 2019-20 school year is posted at https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict.
