All smartphones have screen lock systems to prevent pocket dial. You have to press the power button, then swipe across the screen to enable stuff happening. Now, these will be bigger than most flipphones when closed.

Yep, go to the store, depending on your preferred carrier, if Verizon, I recommend the on inside BJs, about as low pressure as you would want, and ask to check them all out. Go determined not to buy, and whatever you do, NO accessories!!!!! If you need armor, it's 40% or less off Amazon, etc. And dont worry about a screen protector right away, I think any reasonable adult is at pretty low risk of breaking one. The Gorilla Glass in these is pretty tough stuff.

Why would anyone put a phone in their butt pockets? I oppose this. I think it is wrong. I think it should not be. I don't want people to put their cell phones in their butt pockets. I want a law to prohibit this. A constitutional amendment if necessary. It is for your own good.

I have often wondered how you can get a tablet for $200 that has a bigger screen, bigger battery, more ram than a phone but the only thing missing from it is about $25 worth of cellular parts but a comparable phone is $600 to buy it outright and about $800 if you let your carrier subsidize the cost of it?

Then phones should be even cheaper than tablets because most tablets are wifi only and don't cause an additional revenue stream.

I ended up getting a HTC 612.
Basic phone, but it didn't cost me noth'in.
And they actually reduced our wireless bill per month.
Oh, and I also got a $50 rebate.
