Did this happen on its own or have you received an up date to the System - like a security patch or update to the Facebook App

I saw Ken and DJ suggested turning this on ....

My thoughts a security update is restricting FB access when NOT the foreground application or power setting putting the app to sleep when you are not actively using the app

it's always been this way. At first, I thought -"oh, it's me - I'll figure it out" and then I never did. Each time it gets on my last nerve, I research it again, to no avail.

I did turn it on, and I've also checked into the power setting putting the app to sleep when not actively using it.

Just a thought, but have you tried an OS update? Google - force an update for a OnePlus 11 5g

My phone says it's up to date ...

Chat GPT just told me that Version 15 is not the latest STABLE version and that V.14 was (2023).

I got this phone in 2024 so it's the only version I've ever had, I think.
