Cerebral Palsy Sufferer walks for first time wearing new robot suit

I heard a really kewl story last week about paraplegics and mechanical exoskeletons controlled by the patients brain. What it does is they 'think' walk, the machine makes their legs move in a walking range, they have a mirror so they can SEE their legs move AND sensors FROM their legs, which can't feel, TO their arms which CAN feel. So, the brain is 'feeling' walk, through the arms, confusing, yet they are finding, they think, that the visual input is being re-interpreted by the brain AS their legs moving AND they are regaining SOME actual motion in their legs after taking away the exoskeleton! This is kewl ####, the brain creating new neural pathways and FIGURING out what the signals are SUPPOSED to mean!!! They've re'classed some of their patients from FULL paralysis to partial!!!
