Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp

My kids did this camp when they were younger. I think my son did it his first year when he was 4 or 5 as a 1/2 day camp, which was plenty for him. All of the coaches were great. My daughter did it until she was 7 or 8. They really focus on having fun with the kids, while teaching them the basics of soccer. I do recommend this camp for kids that are at the beginning stages of their soccer "career". If they are older or playing at a level higher than the rec leagues, this is probably not the camp for them.

My son did this camp for several years and liked it. Last year, not too many kids in his session and he was the oldest one there, so he got to be the "assistant". He thought the young British coaches were cool! My SIL hosted the coach her daughter played for and really enjoyed it.

My oldest has played for CCPR for two years and this is his first year with CSA. This is the first season my youngest has played soccer. I just thought it was a great opportunity for them. I'm looking forward to seeing what, if any, this has on the kids and their love of soccer.

Anyone else thinking about putting their kids in it? Not sure if I'll put my 5 yr old in, but definately my 8 yr old. Sounds like a neat opportunity to learn soccer the right way.

I enrolled my son in this program last summer and they were excellent. The coaches are great and take their time teaching the kids. If you register early you get extra stuff which is cool for the kids!

Hope this helps.

:frown: Hubby nixed it. Said we need the $$ for parts for his hot rod that he's rebuilding. Plus I forgot we'd be in NY for part of the week that the clinic is. I'm trying to block the trip out of my mind (in-laws anniversary party). Maybe next year, hot rod should be done (unless he starts on the next one by then) and no trip to NY. Plus we will save alot of money not having to pay the sitter anymore because youngest will be in school full-time and won't need to go to her house anymore.
