Rt 235, Lexington Park, by the Mexican restaurant, anyone know what the parked Chaney tank trailer is for? It seems to be there every time I drive by?

It's not really a tanker, it's full of sensitive monitoring electronics.

That's it.

Wonder why it's always there? Definitely wonder why nobody tried stealing it?

The truck driver doesn’t have room in his driveway to park the trailer so he drops it here and drives the truck to his house. Been happening for as long as I can remember.

Sometimes people just need to keep their nose out of places it doesn’t belong. Trailers have been parked at this site for years with no problems and no questions asked so just drop it now!
Illegal is illegal.

Some local business might might want to park a portable billboard truck in order to advertise. If one commercial operation is allowed to park, why not others? Why? It may be illegal.

Now, it may be on private land, if so ok.

What are the laws concerning parking commercial vehicles near a highway on public land?

Property belongs to the SHA. As they do for quite a length of the road. I assume for future expansion into a three of four lane road.

But as everyone else has said. This appears to harm nobody. SHA employees must pass this on a regular basis. Let it be. OR complain to the SHA if you must be a dick.

Might not be harming anyone, but that does not make it ok. If so, if anyone wants to park there, it's ok?

Can someone ticketed for illegal parking use this example as a defense? Might be selective application of laws?

Who's on the hook is an accident happens? The taxpayer?

So many questions...
