Yes.....a mundane task, but this oil change was the first one I ever did on my Dad's car. The only thing I may have done wrong is put too light an oil back into it. I put Q.S. 10W-30 in, not knowing what was in this street/strip-built motor before. :fingerscrossed: hoping the oil's heavy enough.
I found no documentation, which is really odd, because Dad was meticulous about stuff like that. So I took what I hope is a lucky guess and proceeded. After everything was buttoned up, I fired 'er up and let the temps and pressures come up. No unsavory noises; just A LOT of smoke from having not been started in almost 7 months. I could hear Dad walking me through; telling me where tools were; 'first do this.....' Stuff I already know; but like I said this was his car.
Next step.....get it out of the garage to round out those flat-spotted tires.
