Charles County Child Care

Hi,

In about 6 mths I need to have my son (will be 1yr) in full time daycare. I live in Charles County so it makes sense to have him there.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a provider and I'd also love to hear of anyone you think I should stay clear of!

This is my first child so what can I expect as a reasonable rate?

Thanks for all your help!

Annie's Daycare in Hughsville (disclaimer- co-owner is one of my relatives).

Or Happy Faces in Waldorf, but they start at 2 y/o (disclaimer- another relative owns that one too).

Do you know how much she charges per week and would she need me to go on a waiting list for daycare to start in August?

Thanks so much

Not sure how much she charges, but the center is fairly new. It's next to Jazzercise.

I live in Lusby so having family owned daycares in Charles County is no help to me lol. :lmao:

Do NOT go to Claires (LaPlata)

Little Angels (LaPlata) is good as is Little Dreamers (Dentsville I think)

I just love Robyn's Nest in Hughesville! My daughter goes there - her cousin goes there and 2 of her second cousins go there as well. Her 2 older cousins went before they started Kindergarten. They have an infant program (LOVE the teacher in there!) but I'm not sure where they're sitting space-wise (my daughter has sinced moved out of that room and into the 2s, and 3s room). If you need it for 6 months out you could call and find out if there will be space.

I have no affiliation with anyone who works there - just really like them! I, too, work downtown and it's nice to have a place I can truly trust with what I consider to be the center of my life!

Well I live in the Dentsville/Charlotte Hall area but could go to La Plata, Waldorf, White Plains, anywhere on way to DC.

There is a fairly new daycare in charlotte Hall right on the curve on oaks road. They are doing some additions now to the house so maybe they will be expanding! Not sure of the name there is a sign. It is about a mile down oaks after you turn at wentworth nursery.

My daughter when to Happy Faces from 2-5 yrs... We really liked.. we also liked the location... it is right at the Northern part of Waldorf, so It made it easy to pick/drop off my daughter....
