Danielle Fish, Executive Director of the Charles County Literacy Council, announced today that the Council is joining with Borders Book Store in Waldorf, Maryland to raise much needed funds for Literacy Tutoring in Charles County.
Literacy volunteers will be in the Shoppers World Borders Book Store (3304-A Crain Highway, Waldorf, MD) on Dec 1st and 15th from 6-9PM to wrap your Christmas gifts in exchange for donations to the Council. Borders is donating the space in the store and all wrapping materials.
The Charles County Literacy Council, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, provides free community-based one-on-one tutoring for adults age 18 and above, to ensure that they have the access to quality education needed to fully realize their potential as individuals, parents, and citizens. The Council tutors in reading, writing, math, and other skills.
