Any thoughts on it?

some thoughts i gathered (but it's new to me so i could be completely wrong)
1. takes power to create local laws away from annapolis to charles co
which i'm not sure is good or bad.
2. makes it easier and faster to pass laws... but dont' we have enough laws already?
the more numerous the laws the more corrupt the gov't.
3. Creates more government.. which is a bad thing usually
4. people against it are claiming first responders are against it.. but not saying why..
5. at least it creates term limits
6. i've heard it makes the gov't less transparent
7. may cost more.. would that mean tax hikes?

Just look at Pee Gee to see how charter government (crony mismanagement and fraud)
is working out there. And look at how many of their government people at all levels are
either under investigation or in jail. Look at the whole history. Then see if you really want
it.

SMC tried it years ago. It was quickly shot down by the voters. Charter usually has even higher taxes associated with it. Among other trouble.

Just as a note, La Plata as a municipality has more freedom of action for running its government that a non-Charter County does. So does Port Tobacco with all twenty of its residents.
