Chasing the green fairy

I tried some for the first time last night. It wasn't unpleasant. Reminded me of Sambuca. Then I went to bed. I had an amazingly vivid dream. So I got on line to see if anyone else had the same experience. Seems there are a few other documented cases of wild dreams attributed to Absinthe. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I almost always have crazy, memorable dreams whenever I take a benadryl before bedtime. Maybe it only makes me remember the dream, maybe I always have crazy dreams and just don't remember them.

The box said wormwood and it was expensive.

I thought it was vile. I've had absinthe before (the real stuff) and it didn't make me hallucinate, just made me...float. Floating. Floaty. Dedahdah dedahdah. Like a feather in the wind.

Thinking of taking the plunge again. If for no other reason than getting rid of this bottle that has taken up room in the cupboard. I wonder if the green fairy travels down to SC. The weather sure is pleasant here.

I always think I want a certain drink. For a while it was cherry moscow mules. Then alabama slammers. I had a few bushwackers on a cruise and they were quite tasty. I think I need to finish off all these half empty bottles we have then not buy anymore. I always seem to want kahlua or amaretto in hot chocolate or the rare occasion when I want goobered up coffee.
