My husband and I are trying to purchase a woodstove to save on our heating bills this winter. Took a look at Tri-County P&H and was blowen away by the prices of there stoves and the cost of the piping. Does anyone have any good sugestions on where to get a stove and who could install it?

Try going online first to see what kind of stove you want. Couple of brands to look at . Sierra, Buck. Do not try to get by cheap as you want quality in this case. I agree P&H is overpriced for what you get, but in the Tri-county area there a lot of places that sell quality for a reasonable price. We purchased a fireplace insert 25 years ago and the only thing I have had to do is repair a hinge on door( which I took to Amish and they repaired for$5.00 and I replaced the blower motor assy after 15 years as it was starting to get noisy. The only oil I have purchased in 7 years is a 5 gallon can that I keep a few gallons in tank to keep moisture out and if I have to leave house empty for a couple of days. You also have to know how to buy wood. Lot of bad wood out there at gouging prices. Look for recommendations from friends. You can not get wood from PG county as it is unlawfull to bring PG wood to Charles County.
