Thinking about getting a male puppy next year. Any suggestions on where/who has them in the tri-county area...........I've checked the shelter, but they rarely have them......Thanks...........:coffee:

Chesapeake Bay Retreivers 12-29-2007 04:26 PM Not everyone wants a mutt or a basket case dumped dog. Some people want a puppy to raise as they want.

From my karma.

We are giving away our Chesapeake bay Retreiver. She is 3 years old, and is a great family dog. She is very gentle with people and is very affectionate. She does not get along with other dogs however. That is the reason we must give her away as we have another dog as well. She is papered. We payed 900 dollars for her at a Ducks Unlimited banquet. We are asking a 100 dollar adoption fee, to a good family. Again, she will make a wonderful family dog. If interested please email us.

LOL.... great minds....

Seriously I had a Chesapeake as a foster dog at one point, I wasn't sure he or I was going to live through it, I had NEVER had such a hard headed, stubborn dog in my home (that is UNTIL this Chocolate Lab I now have...), but... my group was thinking that Dodger would never find a home, he was that much of a azz - he finally was adopted last summer and I just got another note from the adopters and they love him to death, he is a neighborhood favorite.... sometimes, it's the RIGHT home will allow the dog to be all he is....

I hope the original poster will check out these dogs needing homes.
