A few months ago I bought an 04 Suburban first truck with ABS. I thought something felt funny, it was very hard to get the truck stopped :shrug: My 89 would stop on a dime. So I figured it was normal, that it was the computer doing it's job. Well this morning I was down in VA, I stopped at a WAWA turned off the truck. When I turned it back on my ABS light came on. I drove it around the parking lot, backed up 20feet and hit the brakes like you have to do with the old style... Light was still on 
I turned off the truck popped the hood to check the fluid and I heard something. Sounded like a fuel pump motor, crawled under the truck and there is a pump with a bunch of brake lines running. I checked my fluid, it's ok, I figure pull the ground and let everything reset. After I sat 20 min with it off I put it back on, pump came right back on. I decided to take it for a road test to see if I was going to make it home..... The truck stopped better than ever. I drove like 50 miles with the ABS light on now I am home... with the ground off my truck to try to save the pump from burning up.
Anyone every mess with ABS? Screwy sensor? Pump Shot?
