I'll be heading to Chicago next month for my sons PIR. Any suggestions of things to do, places to eat, tips for getting around town, etc.. would be greatly appreciated :buddies:

As far as things to do:

Go to the Field Museum of Natural History https://www.fieldmuseum.org/

And the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry http://www.msichicago.org/

The Willis (Sears) Tower Skydeck http://theskydeck.com/

Trip Advisor has a pretty good selection of other things too. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g35805-Activities-Chicago_Illinois.html

Places to stay or places to eat, can't really help you there. Haven't been since I passed in review in 1987.

Congrats to your son. Anchors Aweigh shipmate.

Awesome lots of good links. Thanks!
My son will be in A school there @ great lakes so we're hoping that he has liberty that entire weekend we're there.

You ain't kidding. I graduated December 31, 1987. The wind chill at the time was -45.

Omg wow! Not looking forward to that part of the experience! Talked to him this weekend and he said they had just gotten their first snow brrrrrrrrrrr!
