CHicken Strips.. Defined

Heard it explained on TV last night differently then I understood it..


Look at the outside edge of your tire... then see the smooth area between the edge and where the road has rubbed your tire rough.. that smooth area is the chicken strip.

Mine is all but non-existent, MAYBE a 1/4 or 1/2 inch wide.

And all this time, I thought they were mashed chicken, chicken pieces and some other powder junk made into shapes.

No, the last time I sat on a bike that wasn’t my husband’s, I got a nasty burn the size of a supper plate. My husband said it was God’s way of punishing me for having my ass somewhere it shouldn’t have been.

You were being punished for straddling a V twin of some kind!!! Amazing how hot those pipes get in such a short period of time. Reeeeal impressive when they pop their leg over the seat and leave a layer of skin on the hot chrome!!

Chicken strips.

Fun is looking at the rear tires of the 900 pound LT's after a run through Deals Gap and realizing these heavy metal pilots must have been crotch rocket jockeys in their earlier years. Scuffed toes on their boots, ground down metal and 0 chicken strips.

It just thinks its a sport bike!!
