Child Care when school is closed

My daughter goes to a private school that has their own school calendar which means days off does not match those of Charles County or St Mary's public schools. Does anyone in the area know of a good center or in home provider I can use as drop in. I tried asking the school to see if they can ask parents who the parents use (especially those in the before/after care program) since they must have their kids go somewhere when there is no school, but I have not been able to get any help.

I would like to stay around the Hughesville area.

No, they are only open for child care when the public schools are scheduled to be off. I knew there would be some days that would be off, but I didn't think there would be so many days that were not the same. It causes such a hardship that I am considering moving her to public school. But I really don't want to since I am against Common Core.

Go to the next PTA meeting at the school, and talk to some of the parents there. That should be a help. If possible, go to the school in person, and speak to someone in the office.

The Office of Childcare should be able to give the numbers of local registered childcare providers in your area. The number is 301 475 3770.
