I'm careful when reading about this because the reports contain graphic descriptions that hurt my heart and give me nightmares. Gay male couple adopted two little boys, proceeded to rape and beat them, and pimp them out to others for same. Took tons of video of them doing it, so there's a mountain of evidence.

So anyway, now they're in prison and crying about the treatment. "Oh, the food is terrible!" "Oh, the other prisoners are mean to me!" They have absolutely no concern for the trauma and abuse they inflicted on those two little boys. They're like serial killers in their absolute lack of compassion and self-absorption.

And I have to admit, this upends SOME of my sentiment regarding gay adoptive parents. SOME. I've certainly read TONS of horrific stories with parents who were NOT gay. It was only a few years ago, right in Lusby, a foster parent had two foster - one of them dead in her freezer - and the other managed to escape and tell about it.

After having seen so much misery of orphans everywhere - and the great NEED for some kind of home and stability - most of the time I do very strongly believe that while it's best for a child to have a father and mother, having two or one gay parent is far better than the nothing they already have. Some of those orphanages, I wouldn't leave my DOG to be cared for, there. And it's worse knowing only a tiny fraction will ever be adopted.

I have to wonder about the screening process for these guys, though. Three times we went through so much scrutiny, people are often aghast at what it takes. I mean, we had to get a photo copy of our VETERINARIAN'S license for example. We were both fingerprinted so many times, I think my fingers are worn off. I still have piles of documents about a thousand pages deep for each child. AND we had to go through follow ups for years afterward.
