A friend of mine posted that Chilis in Waldorf is "closed until further notice." I was just wondering if anyone else has heard anything.
Thanks!

It wouldn't surprise me. I ate there in December with several friends and we ordered apps, soups, and a sandwich between us. After an HOUR wait and several inquiries to our server, when we could find her, we finally asked to speak to the manager. We were near the kitchen and could hear the manager in the kitchen afterwards berating the employees. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and our meals were comped. The sad thing was they weren't even very busy.
Compare this to my recent experience. I went to the one in Easton a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night with 4 others. Although crowded, seating was prompt, orders taken quickly, and our food arrived in short order. There was one minor mix up from the kitchen on one order where they forgot the salad, which was fixed promptly. Our server was attentive and stopped by frequently to refill drinks and check to make sure everything was okay.
True dat! Nome sane?I'm sure the "demographic clientele" for employees is much different in Easton compared to Waldorf.
Actually, it isn't. In fact, our server in Waldorf was white while in Easton black. There was a good racial mix in both places. I think it is more a management problem and lazy worker syndrome. Waldorf had a "don't give a f**k" attitude while Easton hustled.I'm sure the "demographic clientele" for employees is much different in Easton compared to Waldorf.

Thats more of what I was referring to. Wasn't meant to be a white or black thing. More of like what you said....Waldorf has the don't wanna work and don't give a F attitude.
O-M-G! Boston Market used to be the bomb. When it first opened in Waldorf, wow. Super. Last time I went there, well over 10 years ago, sucks sucks sucks. Wouldn't buy from them for pet food now. I would say there are no restaurants in Waldorf up to the standards of their sister stores in other areas. Of course, they are in serious competition of one star status with other sister stores in like-for-like areas. In my opinion every place I have eaten in Waldorf is below average with regard to the same brand restaurant elsewhere. I have always enjoyed Boston Market until I had eaten at the one in Waldorf. The Red Robin in Waldorf is not up to the standards of the ones I had eaten at prior to them coming to our area.
Last time I was in BM, the restaurant needed a good thorough pressure washing. That was probably 6 years ago; probably hasn't gotten any better. If I may ...
