Just a quick reminder,...I enjoy having access to my chimney at the base of the exit flue and probably 2-3 times a season I pop it open and dig out 2 inches of Creosote that has fallen down the pipe. Come April, I will climb on the roof, pull the cover vent and run a chain down the flue.
So all you folks trying to save your oil for the bitter cold days,...and burning mixed wood,...time to check your access into the flue for ash/creosote build up.
