Chopticon Youth Football Camp

Just wanted to let everyone know:

The fifth annual Chopticon Braves Youth Football Camp will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 27 to 31 at Chopticon High School. The camp teaches the fundamentals of football for players entering third through eighth grade.

Registration will be held from 5 to 5:50 p.m. July 27 in the Chopticon Auditorium Lobby.

Preregistration can be done by sending a $50 check to Chopticon Football and participant information to Tony Lisanti, Chopticon High School, 25390 Colton Point Rd., Morganza, MD 20660.

Well so far, I have been impressed by Coach Lisanti's camp.

It's been organized and well run. Kids have been participating in drills such as Splatter Tackling drills. Its also good to see them teaching the kids via progression techniques in subjects such as blocking (first step, second step etc.) and form tackling.

Last night was Special Teams. It was hilarious watching 8 year olds learning how to punt. And the competitive relay races at the end of each night were particularly entertaining.
