Bann, I take it that you are the latest on NGM's list......he/she isn't worth your time. He/she is full of hate, kicks the pet on the way in the house from work and screams at the kids. There is no reasoning with he/she. Everyone is wrong, he/she is right (in their mind). Put it on iggy and let it go. You can't reason with someone with half of a functioning brain.

I understand where you're coming from however. Racism is so prevalent that in different levels, it is in almost everyone's makeup. I've managed to meet quite a few people that were free of it. With no exceptions, each of them were very well educated. Being free of racism takes mental discipline. The hate posts against me this afternoon and evening show the types of people who have no mental discipline. The more shame they feel for their racism, the louder they protest.

For all the vehement denial that they are racist, many of the posters in this thread have chosen not to state their disagreement with Mr. Obama's platform but instead have chosen to resort to inane and ignorant stereotypes. The references to fried chicken, collard greens, etc. and the doctored photo of Mr. Obama have absolutely nothing to do with politics and everything to do with race.

Sad and disappointing.

OH, fercripessake. We've been posting for months on end what parts of Mr. Obama's platform we disagreed with. Take a look at the topics since January through the day before the election and count the topcis.

I think that some things have been said in this thread that could be interpreted as being racist but that in no way makes the people making the comments in question racist. Black people can make fun of eachother all day long..... Does this make them racist against each other? Probably not unless you can determine whether their intent is that the person making the comments truly feels superior to the person they are making the comments about based on race. If a black person can say a negative about a certain stereo type portaying their own race than a white person can do the same and doing so in no way proves the intent behind the comment, nor does it make the person a racist.

I don't believe that a single person here made a single comment proving their own intent as a true racist. I'm probably the only African American posting in this thread and I certainly haven't been offended.... I have however been called a racist by NGM.

The only thing that HAS BEEN proven here is that the person (NGM) making the accusations of racism is really the ignorant one. Only an ignorant person would make an accusation of racism without definite proof. A few comments do nothing to prove intent.
