Looking for something easy to make for Christmas breakfast (or anytime). This is what I'm going to do. Sounds easy and it's all ready to just put in the oven on Christmas morning.

Breakfast Casserole

10 slices of bread, cut in1 inch cubes
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
6 eggs
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon each salt and pepper
Alternate layers of bread and cheese in a 2 quart casserole dish. Pour melted butter over top. Mix other ingredients and pour over bread layers. Cover with tin foil and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, covered. Uncover and bake for 20-30 minutes longer. GREAT as a Christmas make-ahead breakfast. Enjoy!! MERYY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

There's a great recipe for Hash Brown cassarole on the back of the fresh hash browns you buy in the dairy section! You can spice it up with the addition of sausage, bacon, or ham.

:yum:

I'm 2 old 2 die young!
You can use ham or sausage in that casserole too, Baykat. I always use about 2 dozen eggs and crumble the bread in pieces. It is soooooo good. With sausage, try it with salsa. Yummy. :buddies:

I was thinking about sausage or ham, I'm not crazy about frying up bacon, seems you could just throw some cubes of ham in it. I may just pick some up today.

I'm going to get a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread from Panera and doctor up french toast. I'll cut the bread thick and instead of using the standard egg mixture, I'm going to use eggnog with cinnamon and nutmeg :yum:

Every Christmas I make French Toast Casserole OMG it is so delish  Eggs, heavy cream, orange juice, zest, Challah bread, lil sugar. Slice the bread thick pour the mix over top let it soak up all night then bake it in the morning OMG it is soooo good! Like getting french toast at a fancy restaurant :yum:

That sounds delicious! I'm either doing the 'french toast' thing or breakfast quiche...just eggs, diced onions and bell peppers (green and red), sausage and cheese. I dunno though, I do that all the time so I wanna do something different. I may end up using your Casserole though, it reallllly sounds good :yay:

Lovin your baby girl is adorable. I love the picture of her smiling :). Is she typically a happy baby and smiling all the time?
