I think that what's happening is that the Board is trying to fire the Administrator (they're his boss, not the other way around) to hire someone more "representative of the County" and she crossed the line. Which, with the censure and comments from her colleagues, must have been past outrageous.
This has happened in past over here in Calvert. One or another Commissioner would get a hard on for one or another employee (a lot of it, especially in the Sheriff's Department, had to do with the election) and would harass, or have the employee's supervisor harass, the employee until they quit.

So in simpler terms, he is getting (maybe) fired because one of his employees made racist complaints that he does not "represent the County?" Is that right??

Commissioner Thomasina Coates made racist/discriminatory comments/actions against a county employee is the crux of the matter, and it appears Collins is going to let her vote to fire the very employee she discriminated against.

Regarding the vote, it sounds like the County Attorney was basically saying don't do it.
