Cigars

I just bought a butt load of cigars today for the heck of it at the cigar shop in the mall. Anyone know how long they'll keep outside of a humidor before they go foul?

Not long - get a humidor. Unless they're Swisher Sweets - you could do anything with those and they'll still taste the same. :dead:

if you buy a Lowinski box, i here the cigars will keep forever:kiss:

You are so lowbrow... the correct term is a Lewinski Box... I hear its a polish sna...errr..contraption.

Christy, considering our temperatures as of late, your main concern should really be humidity and ultraviolet(sunlight). A humidor is ideally kept around 60-70 degrees and relative humidity about 65-75 (70 for best humidity). Study our weather and see how bad off you really are... Not doing too bad at all really.

Now, the real worst thing for a cigar is friction (being handled/moved/etc). So, put them somewhere cooler in your house, out of sunlight, and don't mess with them, and you should be fine until their smoked. Its not perfect, but really, how well do you think they were treated on the way to the mall, in the mall, and everywhere else.
