I dont have the stove, but I find my fat cat stretched out over top the floor vent when the heat is on.

One of my cats likes to sleep on top of the surround sound box. It puts out some heat. If I see him up there, I shoo him away, afraid he'll get hair in it. My husband is mean, he'll turn the volume up all the way just to watch the cat take off running.

This is how he sleeps.

Mine sleeps on top of our HD boxes. A friend told me when she had her cable box upgraded, she was embarrassed at the amount of cat hair the cable guy dumped out of hers!

That's exactly why we don't want him up there. This one doesn't shed too bad, but doesn't take much to start a fire I imagine.
