Citizen - arm thyselves...

Citizens - arm thyselves...

Take everything ever said about gun-purchase waiting periods, the failure of police to prevent attacks (sometimes deliberate ignorance, sometimes a handicap thanks to bad laws), and the inability of police to get there in time to save you. Condense it down into one incident, one real-life scenario, and you have this:

Citizen Arm Thyself

Listen to the audio clip all the way through... say what you want, but my wife and 11 y/o boy knows where the shotguns are, AND how to use it...

Biography

I’m 21 years old, live in northern Idaho, and am an on-again, off-again student studying a little of everything.

I currently work part-time as the operations manager of an ice rink. Yes, I get to drive the Zamboni!

Politically, I’m a small-L libertarian. I believe in extremely limited government and extensive personal responsibility. I think our current system is the result of laziness and cowardice; people stopped wanting to deal with things themselves, so they gave power to the government to deal with it for them. If I were in charge… Well, I’ll save that for my posts. Suffice it to say things would be far different.

Of the issues I’m passionate about, gun rights are at the top of the list. I am a proud gun owner and semi-avid shooter, though I confess to letting the winter weather keep me indoors more than I should. I believe the Second Amendment exists to ensure the citizens of this great nation will always have the means with which to overthrow a tyrannical government. The AR-15s of today are the Brown Besses of 1776.

I consider myself to be an odd sort of Christian, not really fitting into any denomination I’ve found thus far. I may chronicle my theology on the blog eventually.

My other interests are varied and a bit eclectic. I drive an older truck (1981 Chevy K10 Silverado) I’ll be working on indefinitely, and I also own a pink Tank scooter I ride around town. It’s hard to miss!

I don’t read as much as I should, but I’m trying to return to the avid reading habits of my childhood. I spend a considerable amount of time each day mucking about on the internet, doing this and that - hence why I figured I might as well do something productive, and blog! I’m currently learning more about CSS and Unix, though it’s an uphill battle for those trying to teach me. In other nerd news, I play World of Warcraft on the Dethecus server.

Last but not least, on August 4th, 2007 I married the love of my life, Mike. We live with our cat, Gipper, and dog, Joey. Gipper is a big orange tabby with multiple personalities (two of which are named named “Destructo” and “Insaneo”) and Joey is a small black and tan Chihuahua who weighs exactly half as much as Gipper. They’re best of friends, though, and have some wrestling moves that could probably earn them a spot in the UFC.

Have you considered submitting this to the folks that run the shooting range at Sanner's Lake or the marylandshallissue website/webmaster?

No Use for Donk Twits
At least the woman stayed fairly calm. She musta been scared to death the way this guy kept stalking her. She got the gun that day from a friend, I think.

No - I just posted this up here. I received this from a really good friend who is a NRA life member. He is constantly e-mailing his Maryland political reps about issues concerning gun control...

Feel free to send it to whoever!

That was chilling. A Sanner's Lake member has seen this (ahem, me), and Henry at MSI will have this in his in-box first thing tomorrow. I'm sure its already there, but just in case...
1911 beats 911 every time.

Just think in DC if she was a law abiding citizen she'd be dead.. or she'd be alive but in jail, guilty of multiple felonies.

Got to love liberal laws..

Thanks - I knew SOMEONE from Sanners Lake would see this...

A buddy of mine is trying to get me to go shoot Sporting Clays over there... it might be a good reason to bring my new A390 over!

Thank you for forwarding this - I think it is a great article and sound clip; you cannot argue the truth!
