I say we divvy up, throw down, and get it over with.

"They" keep caterwauling all "Oh, we don't want another civil war! :drama: "

Yeah? Why not?

I know why they don't want one - because they know they'd lose. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer know damn well they don't stand a chance against us if we finally get fed up. Joe Biden knows this, somewhere back in the recesses of his senile brain. They all know it, which is why they band together in unison and try to bully us into submission. And they largely get away with it, with the exception of outliers like Trump and MTG and Ron DeSantis.

But its like the bully on the playground - at some point we're going to have to stand up for ourselves and punch him them the face.

Unfortunately when they gave us the iron fist, we retaliated against them by....electing their bumbling addled toady as POTUS. And that's only if you believe there wasn't cheating and bullshit - the alternative is that we allowed them to steal our presidential election and didn't say a damn word about it. Instead, we cowered in fear and grabbed our smelling salts over mean tweets.

Is there a point where we'll stand up to them?

Civil war will interrupt gasoline supplies (even more), the crap television you people consume, and the horrible fast food you shove down your gaping maw. This is immutable fact.

Ergo, no civil war in the U.S.

The sad part is it would be half-assed at the end and there'd be no trials, convictions and hangings for the remaining democrats.

There'd be some bleeding heart @$$#### that would want to forgive and "come together as Americans."

Then four or five generations from now it would all have to be done again.

But who will be the combatants in this new civil war? Will it be the Union against some States, as was the first? Or, a free for all anarchy type civil war with no real defined enemy? I think that is what the problem is. There is no truly defined single source enemy. There is lots and lots and lots of anger, frustration, exasperation, which has no discernible origin because people can't put their finger on one single causality with which to focus that anger and frustration.

Which is all planned btw. To intentionally create chaos and sow discontent, confusion, and ...... fear. In this setting, people are easily controlled. As we are seeing being played out in front of our very eyes.

This really is an excellent point.

Would it be conservatives vs progressives, urban vs suburban/rural. I think black vs white is out because where would asian and hispanic allegiance fall?

Follow collegiate admissions rules. Asians are white and Hispanics/Latinos get to choose if they are white or not.

Silly... They don't get to choose.

Democrats choose for them based on the circumstance.

Interesting comment because you know colleges would play a part somehow. I'm thinking they would default to what ever side the police were on, and generally the police end up as mercenaries for whomever is paying their salaries whether it be a mayor or board of commissioners.

The last one was because of southern democrats so it is the democrats again.

The southern democrats were conservative and Abe Lincoln was a liberal Republican. So once again it will be the conservatives picking a fight with the liberals. Maybe they are compensating for something…

I see the coming "civil war" being very different than the last one. It will come about due to further societal breakdown - simply more, much more, of what we already see in so many cities now. Food, shelter and energy shortages will get worse and those dependent on government largess and services, and with no life survival skills of their own, will become increasingly desperate. The country will become a hodge-podge of "pockets of anarchy and decay" surrounded by areas where more resilient, more prepared, and better armed people will manage pretty well. The fighting will be limited to defending the viable areas from the starving scum that venture too far from their decayed cities in search of food etc.
