Since you haven't noticed, Hillary Clinton isn't the President. What she would have or wouldn't have done could not be more irrelevant. What Trump has done is the relevant topic. Odd how all you Trump cultists keep pointing out that Trump won...but you start every defense of Trump's action with an attack on Hillary Clinton. Here's a tip...nobody gives a sh!t about Hillary Clinton any more.

Again, how a Clinton plan would compare to a Trump plan is irrelevant. What actually is relevant is Trump's plan. Does anyone know what it is? Trump sure doesn't so how can you or anyone else? Trump wants a wall...then he doesn't. It isn't going to be built out of concrete, then it is. It won't be continuous, except that it will run the length of the border. " Border Security" = "The Wall", except when it doesn't.

Trump has never been about efficiency or cost.

Really? If that is true, why are his poll numbers tanking? Why do the majority of Americans oppose his wall?

Now…people CARE about solutions for the border

Actually the majority of Americans do not believe there is a crisis at the Southern Border.

She most certainly did. Everyone believed in secure borders before this mess that Trump created. Only a minority of people believe: 1. there is a crisis and 2. a wall is the best and only solution.

She didn’t “win”, she failed to offer solutions

Sorry but she most certainly did. Trump was forced to take the deal he had already agreed to before Xmas. Trump got nothing additional. Trump got blamed for the shutdown. Trump got blamed for the plight of 800,000 American families and all the ancillary workers/businesses that were negatively impact by Trump's incompetence. Trump's playbook is to declare victory no matter what the actual outcome is. Well if you are stupid enough to fall for that line of bullsh!t, then you got the govt you voted for.

As for the 5th inning comment, it is likely farther along than that. Trump has lost what little credibility he had. He has only governed for a minority of the population...his policies have negatively impacted large chunks of that population. His inane shutdown did further damage to his political clout.

If Trump had any sense, and he hasn't exhibited any since entering office, he would get as much money as he can for every sort of border security issue he can. He isn't getting a wall...but he can get more border agents, more electronic options, more port security, more airport security. His wall is now nothing more than a bargaining chip...and a little one at that.

But Trump doesn't have much sense. He will likely do something stupid again...

There are more, but that is enough. Y’all get the idea. Hub coached baseball for 20 years. He coached at Patuxent and Calvert, started the traveling team known as the Calvert Heat. Appreciate the advice. But given the chance I prefer to extend courtesy (even if not first extended or not returned).

In the end, achieved my point: to get markers out on the table. Looking forward to revisiting this thread down the road as we see how it all turns out.
