Class lists

Check the school websites - they usually post them. Mine are older and don't get the lists anymore, but Walmart & Kmart used to have stands where they stocked the school lists for all the county schools.

Not supply lists. I meant the list that shows each teacher and who is in their class.

At CES they used to post those the very last week before school started, as I recall. Not too many days before the first day.

That's what I thought. I'll just keep checking out the school's website to see if they post the date it will be up. I'm planning on going to the Meet and Greet the day before school starts and it's always a mad house with people looking at the lists then. I like to get a sneak peek so I can just go, meet the teacher and get out.

New policy for Calvert Co starting this year is NO POSTING of lists.
Why, I have no idea, but I got an email from the school on it some time ago.
You can get the info but I think you must either call or be at the open house.

Really? I'm signed up for those emails and didn't get anything. I didn't see anything about that policy listed on the CCPS site either.
I hope you are all enjoying this first week of summer vacation and are remembering Nurse Kim's tips for sun safety. We will be spending the short break closing out records for the 2009-2010 school year and preparing for the return of staff and students in August.
I want to share a change in a long-standing routine. CLASS LISTS WILL NOT BE POSTED ON THE FRONT DOORS OF THE SCHOOL FOR YOUR REVIEW AS THEY HAVE IN THE PAST.
If you wish to know your child's teacher prior to the first day of school on August 24th, you may do one of the following:
Parent/Guardian only: Send email request with student name(s) to Mrs. Buehler, Mrs. Chapman, or Mrs. McPhillips on August 23rd.
Come to the school on August 23rd between 2:00 and 3:00 for Classroom Connections, and we will be able to tell you which classroom your child/children will be in.

I think it's just for that school or else something would be posted on our school's website which it isn't. No big deal. They'll get who they get.
I do believe that it is county-wide. A privacy issue. At Sunderland they are not being posted either. County-wide change decided by the Board of Ed at the end of the school year this year. Domestic Violence, Child Custody as well as other Privacy Issues are the reasons behind the change. Board of Ed stated schools are supposed to be mailing home letters 19-20 Aug.
