Classified ad

I've had some strange things happen since I placed a couple classified ads. Just wondering if anyone else has also.

Got an e-mail from a guy that claimed that he would come and pick up an item. He wanted to pay me with a money order and needed my address and phone number. I sure this would have been followed up by a request for my SSN.

Also been baraged by e mail spam on the address that is on the ads. I must have had 400 emails selling everything from Viagra to siding. Have any of you had this type of experience and do you think this might be related to the ads?

I had the same problem you had once you tried to sell something you get all of these crappy emails trying to sell you something 'DONT GO FOR IT, ITS A SCAM!!!!! no one would send you money if you are selling anything when i sell something i tell them no FOREIGNERS!! I WONT ANSWER YOUR EMAILS.
I had some emails saying they would have some shipper come p/u the item and give you a cashier check (yea right.) and ask for my info , I said NO WAY!!!

The guy obviously didn't speak English as a first language (nothing against that) because the wording was so strange, but it was an odd e mail. I gave him my number so he could call me and he replied that he can't hear very well and couldn't use the phone. Asked for my address again. Identity theives and scammers should be punished in town square by their victims.
