Cleaning a stainless steel sink

I have tried brillo pads and they get it clean and take the scratches off and make it nice and shiny but in a few days it looks like crap again. Anyone know anything I can do to make my sink look good again?

Quit using brillo pads - you'll scratch the #### out of it.

They make a special stainless steel polish - you can pick it up at Target. Try that instead of an abrasive.

I think it's called "bartenders helper" or "barkeepers helper." It's like a cleanser, but it's made for surfaces like stainless and glass.

I was going to post the same thing. Excellent stuff. It's near the Comet, etc. It's Bar Keepers Friend. I love it...I have a really deep, white porcelain sink and use Bar Keepers Friend about once a week to keep it looking bright and new. :yay:

My husband owns a decorative metal fabrication shop and he highly recommends BarKeepers Friend, too!

Olive Oil: Rub stainless steel sinks with olive oil to remove streaks.
Vinegar: To clean and polish stainless steel, simply moisten a cloth with undiluted white or cider vinegar and wipe clean.
Club Soda: Remove streaks or heat stains from stainless steel by rubbing with club soda.
Baking soda mixed with liquid dish soap can make a good paste to gently rub on stains. Be sure to rinse the stainless steel surface thoroughly, and towel dry.:yay:
