Clutter Buddies

I heard about this concept on the DIY network, and I think it's a great idea. If you are clean-home impaired, you find a friend and call each other for support and help each other out with big projects. Your kids can play together while you work, if you're both stay-at-homers.

For my part, I am terrific at organizing but terrible at keeping it that way. I end up creating new systems about once a month to keep my home reasonably neat, which does nothing to help create good permanent habits. I work from home, which makes it worse since I have to be around it all day.

So, any thoughts or takers?

I'd think it would be more efficient if you got the kids in on the act too. That way they're learning how to clean up after themselves, and learning your "system" so that in the future, you can do it together.

My son does help when he's not in school, but he is still very young, and my daughter is an infant- much too young. Adult help and conversation is invaluable when you're at home basically all the time anyway.
