CNN Tells Students What to Ask at Debate

I heard on Fox&Friends that the recent CNN/MTV "Rock The Vote" debate, which was suppossed to be questions asked by average American teenagers, were actually questions given by CNN to the students.

Leno was talking about this on The Tonight Show, and he said that although CNN staffers had provided the questions to the students, since it was a Democratic debate nobody knew the difference.

I think he made a similar joke a while back, where he was saying something about the debates but since it was the Democrats nobody was watching anyway.

talking to a democrat is like questioning a lawyer. They will spout off at the mouth and give you all types of facts/figures, but never answer the freakin question.

CNN-Clinton News Network.... I never watch it!

Every politician will do that, especially on TV where the one doing the questioning has a limited amount of time. If he just spouts a lot of irrelevant rants, by the time the interviewer can ask again, they're out of time.

It *doesn't* work on shows like Meet the Press, or in press conferences, at least, not as well. Russert WILL repeat a question even after a commercial break if he thinks someone is dodging. I used to enjoy him grilling Gore. He'd stump Bush too, but GW is the kind of guy who'd say "you know? I don't know why". Gore would respond as one well coached. LOVED it that Tim wouldn't let him slide.
