What do you think of his tv/radio shows?

I have watched his show since about the 2nd or 3rd episode. I think he is right on with the country. He is picking up on things that most government officials are not seeing...

Sometimes I think that there are people out there that have the nads to say what government officials are afraid to. They might agree, but they don't want to be on record having said it.

He sounds like a journalist who is not afraid to lean towards the conservative side of an issue. Something seldom seen on CNN.

I've watched his show probably 7 or 8 times now, and enjoy his segments where he states: "Here's What I Know/Here's What I Don't Know".

He seems to give adequate slants on both sides of a story.

Refreshing is the word I'd use.

I think the only thing I have taken issue with Beck that I have heard him on was the Terry Schievo thing. He was over the top with that one. Other than that is is spot on.

He used to be on XM 166 America Right but he moved and now they have G. Gordon Liddy. His Mor On Trivia used to rock! The other guy they had a while back used to annoy me 80% of the time was Michael Medved. He shows up on talking head shows once in a while too.

He kinda reminds me of a young Rush Limbaugh (sp?)

Yeah..."Here's What I Know/Here's What I Don't Know" are my favorite segments. Its like the down and dirty of all his points...

I think he is pretty right on, on most things but there have been times I find myself disagreeing with him.

I watched his show monday night and found myself agreeing with alomost everything he said. Especially the Pope/Islam segment.

:yeahthat:
I had to switch him off during that period. Beck has changed channels on XM besides a TV show. The majority of his views are right on.

I think his spunky attitude and ego occasionally get in his way when trying to deliver quality points on current issues but I dont think that happens very often. The ego is always there, as if you couldnt tell, but the spunk only rears its head when he begins to get passionate about things..

Overall, I agree....but I do wonder something... we all hear about how one person will tell you one side of a story - I'm wondering where the other half of the story is. Beck protrays himself as a person who wants to inform everyone of the things that main stream media is omitting....but I wonder what Beck is omitting. The guests he has on his show are not always against his own views. I'm just looking (I guess) for his liberal couterpart. Not saying that I think that a liberal needs to debate Becks points of view but I would like so see a liberal on a TV show like Beck and presenting current issues from a liberal perspective.

I am overwhelmingly conservative and republican but I do think that liberal ideals do make sense on occasion. I'd just like to see the see the extremes on both sides of the scale so I can make my own decision based on the facts and opinions presented.

There is. Their names are:

Chris Matthews
Katie Couric
Matt Lauer
Anderson Cooper
Aaron Brown
Keith Olbermann
Charlie Gibson

How many more do you want?

Vrai,

Thanks....humm... i didnt know A.C. was a liberal...but then again, I never watched his show....

Chris Matthews - the impression I get from his "Hardball" show is that he acts as a middle man and encourages debate between two people with opposing views...I dont think he injects his personal opinion into the debate...I could be wrong. Either way, I've never cared for the way that the show was set up...its like a speed debate... lets hurry up and argue over a topic in the next 5 minutes when we really need an hour. Oh...we're outta time...too bad..**cuts to commercial**

Matt Lauer is not a journalist nor anyone worth watching/hearing - in my book. The funniest thing I have ever seen in regards to him was when I was stationed on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt (air craft carrier) and he was given a joy ride on one of the tomcats. the pilots had a pool going on how long Lauer would go before puking. Well...he made it through the high G turns and loops...sound barrier break... Just when all hope was lost, as sure as Lauer landed and stepped foot out of the aircraft... we all watch on closed circut tv as Lauer spilled his gutts on the deck... We all cheered...our day was made. The guy is so self centered... anyways...

As for as the others, i've never heard of them....well. Couric...I know but I dont think she ever put her views out there like Beck does. Is there a liberal out there who approaches issues like Beck does and puts their opinion out for scrutiny?

Then you didn't see the interview with the Swiftboat guy, where Matthews got so heated with his attacks that it was embarrassing, then mere days later when he stroked the guy busting on Bush's NatGuard service.

Is there a liberal out there who approaches issues like Beck does and puts their opinion out for scrutiny?
If you mean they have a nationwide audience and can voice their opinions without rebuttal, that would be all the people I mentioned above.

If you mean they actually back up their arguments with facts, the answer is no - there is no liberal that approaches issues like Beck.

No, I didnt see the interview... but go figure I suppose.

Why is it, you suppose, that liberals are so quick to point out things they disgree with and sling dirt but are hesitant to go on the air and explain their position on things with justifiable facts not rhetoric? I just don’t get it.

That is one reason Air America is failing. I believe most Democrats do want to hear about solutions and not just 100% negative rhetoric so the Jerry Springer, Al Franken and Randi Rhodes audiences are small. Dwindling sponsors.

Because the hot topics that get little Lefties all stirred up are not based on facts, just emotion.

"Bush is an evil Nazi!"

"No blood for oil!"

"Bush hates black people!"

"Bush planned 9-11!"

:jameo:

Why they do this, I have no idea because it's not like there aren't legitimate disagreements you can have with the Bush Administration. Half the time they don't even know Bush's position before they start raving. Illegal immigration is a great example: no sooner did Bush make his happy little pro-amnesty speech, then illegals and their fans started rioting in the streets holding signs that said "Hell no, we won't go! Bush hates minorities!" So they obviously didn't listen to the speech and have no real idea *what* Bush thinks about illegal immigration.
