I guess money is that tight that the Nav has to solicit strip clubs and such for sponsorship for the Navy Ball and other events. Does common sense and honor have no meaning anymore for these guys?

At least they used to be, but even I can't think of sponsorship from back in the day of the early 70's....I think I recall some kind of Z-gram about it....

I think there is a lot more to this story then what is being reported. That phrase "brought to Benedict's attention by a member of command, who reported the information through proper channels" tells me that someone with good connections with higher ups placed the complaint. Sounds like the higher ups were either looking for an excuse to get rid of him or they sure wanted to appease the person making the complaint
