Not really scanner activity, but I figured this was the best place to post. Anyone else get theirs today? I Got it in my email and on my cell phone. There should be a voice mail waiting at home this evening too.

8/27/2010 9:42:40 AM EST - This is a TEST of the CodeRED Emergency Notification System. The Department of Public Safety may use this system during an actual emergency that would require specific public notifications to residents in St. Mary’s County. All landlines are in the database; however residents are encouraged to sign up cellular numbers and e-mail addresses for additional notifications. Citizens can log onto the St. Mary’s County Government website at St. Mary's County Government and go to the CodeRED link at the bottom of the page to sign up. Citizens without internet service can contact 301-475-4200 Option 6 then Option 3 for assistance. Citizens will also have to option to sign up for Severe Weather Warnings which are issued during Tornado, Flash Flood or Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. This was a TEST of the CodeRED Emergency Notification System-Thank You

Got mine. Coworker, who recently moved here, said he didnt bother, figuring that all weather conditions pretty much give you advance notice. I showed him pics of the LaPlata tornado, I think he changed his mind.
