Charles Co. Code Red for CCPS staff March 16-18 — Essential employees report to work

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) will operate on a Code Red for employees Monday, March 16 to Wednesday, March 18.

Code Red means that only essential employees will report for work March 16 to 18, including:

  • The Superintendent and members of her operations team;
  • Communications staff;
  • Food and nutrition workers who are staffing the breakfast and lunch distribution sites;
  • Payroll employees;
  • Building service managers;
  • Assistant building service managers;
  • Building service workers;
  • Maintenance staff;
  • Security personnel; and
  • Transportation supervisory staff.

The school system will reassess the status daily as conditions change.
