Colt 1911: The Incredible Gun in Service for Over 100 Years

One of my 1911's was built in March 1919. It was reworked to partial A1 standards in 1946 by the USAAF pistol team armorer.
I bought it in 1989 from the retired SMSgt Bill Fortune. He carried it in WW2, Korea, Vietnam and various other troubles from 1936 until he retired in 1972. That was the last year one could buy one's sidearm and take it home.
