Comcast in Great Mills

Related to HDTV in St. Mary's....

The Comcast website seems to tell me that they don't service Great Mills (Hickory Hills in particular). I could swear that I've seen their trucks here. I tried some other zips (Lexington Park, California) and got the same result.

Anybody help here. Phone number? Other info?

I thought MetroCast was the only cable company in St Marys....

Im pretty sure Metrocast is the only cable company there for ST.Marys, I know they were hiring last week or so for installers.....There is also Direct and dish network for TV there thru Jedi communications....

Metrocast is the only cable provider that has domain in St. Mary's County. From what I understand, all the cable players in Maryland divided the region into sections. They original owners of GMP bid for and won for this area. They also made provisions so that no other cable provider can run service in this section of MD. Sucks. Its your basic monopoly.

Yep, they only service Golden Beach in St. Mary's. We are like the red-headed step-children to Comcast, for years when I called about something they'd always say "where are you?...but we aren't in St. Mary's!" Somehow we are hooked up to them through Prince Frederick.
