Comcast phone service

Anyone in CRE still having troubles with their phone service? 2 weeks ago they had a outage and supposeldy everythings been fixed yet when Im on the phone it either disconnects or the other person cannot hear me. My neighbor had someone come out and said the polarity?? needed to be switched around on all the phones..I have no idea what hes talking about. Anyone heard of anything like this? Thanks

I'm not sure what it is and I don't live in CRE but do live in Lusby and I have had the same problems as well. A Long with our internet service not working right either.

I have the same problem in St. Leonard - only with the phone so far.
VERY annoying - been going on for about a month.

when your power goes out if your phone line is also hooked up to your modem then you need to disconnect and reconnect again, it stupid and they dont tell you this, i am not even sure if they realize what it is and why but... we had the same problems and my husband is a wiz at computers and he does it every time and no futher problems

I have Vonage for phone. It hasn't let me down yet and it's cheaper that Comca$t

Thank you! I'll have to try that! Because it sure is annoying! And everytime I call them to come out they say they have fixed the problem and of course it hasn't been fixed! I'm fixin to go back to verizon if they don't start figuring out these problems! And I really don't want to do that! :jameo:

Down here in the Seventh District we have the worst phones in the world , I think.

Mine goes out every time it rains. The repairman comes out and fixes it till the next rain. I just love spending a half hour talking to the computer at the verizon office. Try to find a human there sometime. Press one for Spanish, have you tried hooking a phone to the gray box? We are running a check on it , yes ,its bad, will you be home sometime next month so our man can stop by? Most times it dries out in 3 or 4 days and is working when the guy shows up. I keep wondering why they cant make the thing waterproof. A good heavy dew will put me out of connection. The dial up on my computer truly sucks because of noise in the line. On and on it goes.

Well they have us, its not like we can take our business elsewhere.
