Comcast users should request a credit for outages

From Clarkhoward.com:

If you are a Comcast Internet subscriber, you may have experienced some outages with your service recently. The outages are do to "an upgrade" at the company and may have prevented you to check e-mail or access the Web.

Jeanne Russo, Comcast spokeswoman, said in a recent Washington Post article that the company would issue credits to any customers who had problems as a result of the outages. But you must call the company to get the credit. Comcast will not be issuing credit automatically.

Call 1-800-COMCAST or 888-COMCAST to be re-routed to your local branch. From there, Comcast representatives say you will receive your refund.

You have to report it the day you have the outage for them to give you a refund and you have to call continuously and complain til they do something about it.

if you will
Sorry to bizzump such an old thread, but we did see a couple of weeks worth of very poor internet service from Comcast. They had to replace a cable running from the street to the house and something else further out. We called and got a refund for 2 weeks of the internet portion of the bill, resulting in a lower bill the next time.
