I'm not getting a concealed carry permit; it's a friend of mine. There's a space on the application that will not permit you to enter the PCN number. I'm fairly certain he would prefer to do it the way he's doing it.rather than get totally frustrated by the bureaucracy, just find Steve Piazza, take his course and bingo.
Thanks - good information.Log onto Mdshooters forum, plenty of threads by the guys who were instrumental in changing MD's archaic license process.
I went through the process last fall. There are plenty of Youtube videos about the MD application process.Has anyone on here filled out the current online application?
In Indiana, at worst 2 weeks from filing to permit in hand. Lifetime permit free and online except digital Prints, maybe 10 bucks.Submitted mine on 7/6, got an email stating it application was accepted on 7/12 and that I would get notified when a background investigator was assigned. No notice as of this time. I did get a letter in the mail that stated a background check was performed and no criminal history was found.
Still waiting.
It was easy enough to understand; just frustrating with the one block. He signed out and signed back in again and for some reason that fixed the issue.I went through the process last fall. There are plenty of Youtube videos about the MD application process.
Florida was a easy. One stop shop at tax collector office, application, fingerprints and photo. Received permit in mail a week later here in Maryland. Granted this is I am from Florida and happened to be down there visiting.
We have Constitutial Carry in Indiana, but without the proper reciprocity and license or permit there are loads of states I can't carry in without one or two permits or license. For your consideration ...
Now in Florida, as of July 1st, no permit is need at all to carry concealed, for residents and visitors alike. Also known as Constitutional carry. There, it comes down to individual personal responsibility. As it should be.
My Utah permit isn't good for SC either. We have Constitutial Carry in Indiana, but without the proper reciprocity and license or permit there are loads of states I can't carry in without one or two permits or license.
If one from Florida uses Constitutional Carry while home, leave your gun at home to vacation in SC.
Have a Florida Permit, carry handguns in SC with no worries.
Dont' think my permit is recognized either. My Utah permit isn't good for SC either.
Mine took about 60 days before I was approved then another 10 days to get the physical permit card. So you should be getting close.Submitted mine on 7/6, got an email stating it application was accepted on 7/12 and that I would get notified when a background investigator was assigned. No notice as of this time. I did get a letter in the mail that stated a background check was performed and no criminal history was found.

Not a bad thing..every time I take a class at FBS I benefit from it. Steve and Cindy are aces.I thought it was resiprosity with some???
And only handguns if I recall.
Between my MD and PA permits, I can carry in 34 states.
