Are you coloring, or perming your hair? If not, then maybe you should take some vitamins, like Prenatal Vitamins. I take prescribed Vitamins; If you can't find them over the Counter, ask your Doctor. You may want to have some blood work to check your thyroid too. You can also go on-line to see what you think may work for you. Just type in "Dry hair" and see what it comes up with. Also...taking Omega 3 Fish Oil, and other Vits will probably help. Sometimes, using Hair Sprays every day, can dry out the hair, along with the Blow-Dryer. Using Shampoos, and other Hair Products that contain Alcohol can wreak havoc on the hair. I have frizzy, dry hair, and have noticed a HUGE difference in the over-all softness when using Garnier by Nutrice products. Use a clairifying Shampoo once a week, like Nutragena, to get the build-up of all the daily products used, the maybe do a Hot Oil Treatment after that. You also might want to look up Vitamins for Hair on the net. I am not a professional, so I'm only offering possible solutions. Good Luck!!

Deep conditioning-grab a tub of thick conditioning cream-I use Garnier-apply to dry hair, saturating, place shower cap on your head, after 3 or 4 hours, rinse well with warm water.

You can also leave it on over night, but I don't like ruining my pillow cases, as the shower cap usually slips off.

Any ideas of how to get the build up out of your hair from well water??

Try Sauve daily clarifying shampoo. I don't know if it will work for well water, but it works for everything else that gets built up on my hair.

I have horrible dry hair this time of year so I've been using the Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner, works great. My daughter says my hair glows.:killingme For build up I use Patene clarifying shampoo, the clear stuff, works great or sometimes I go old school and use Prell, yep it's still around.

Aussie 3-Minute Miracle is great....just leave it on for about 20 min. instead of 3 (if able). I use those disposable shower caps to cover my head while the conditioner sits in there and does it's thing. Also, if you can go without shampooing so often that tends to keep hair in better condition.
The wintertime can be harsh on the hair.

I get my hair colored every 6 weeks and really needed something good. I use Moroccanoil and love it. I'll never use anything else. It's pricey but worth it. I very little bit goes a long way.
