Confirmation gifts

Boy 1 is getting confirmed. I know he expects gifts (his father is giving him the cell phone he's been begging for) and he'll get some from family. But do we get the sponsors (his Godparents) gifts? And if so what?

No, I don’t think a gift is warranted for the sponsors; however, a nice thank you note from your son to his sponsors would be very nice. IMO, a cell phone as a confirmation gift seems inappropriate - the gifts should be religious based and/or be able to act as a moral compass.

His gift from me is a cross pendant and a commerative confirmation tie and tie clip. At communion he was given his own Bible.

He was already planning on thank you notes with a picture of them all from the confirmation service.

When my SIL's daughter was confirmed, she gave the godparents an engraved (something - I forgot what it was) from Things Remembered commemorating the occasion.

In My Opinion
You know, when it comes to giving gifts for any occassion to a male personage, you just cant go wrong with a hooker.
