Considering purchasing CS3

I have some questions...

I own Photoshop Elements 5.0 and have not used it much, but from the reviews I have read on CS3 it says for me to learn this software before getting CS3. Now, as far as I know software doesn't go bad, so...

Would you get CS3 and play with it as you learn and just how much better is it than Elements 5.0???

Is it different enough to warrant the extra $$$$?

I need to know what the big deal is about the program that makes you guys love it so much.

Methodically disorganized

If one needs and uses the functions above Elements it provides, then yes. However, you do not need it because you are still learning; you need to learn fundamental image editing before you try higher-level manipulation.

It does everything.

Thanks for the input. I realize I have a lot of learning to do, that is what I meant by software doesn't go bad. So what I was thinking of doing was, with the Elements while I am learning it, when I learn something on it and get it down pat then I can open CS3 and try it on that and see how far I can go on that. I just have an opportunity to get the software now where I might not in the future. So I wanted to jump on it so to speak! :lmao:
