Constantly panting dog

I met a little husky puppy today that I found odd . She is constantly panting. Even after laying around for awhile, she will pant like she's been running around the whole time. I've never seen this before. She is kept inside in the A/C so she can't possibly be hot. I did see that when she laid down, it was always on the vents though. Do you think something is wrong? She has been to the vet and they say she is healthy. What do you think??

Sounds like an anxious and nervous dog to me. My old dog used to pant like that everytime in the car regardless of temperature or how much water she had. She could pant for an entire hour straight and wouldn't stop until getting back home.

Maybe but I don't think so. The dog was in her crate when we came through the door. She was laying down like she had just woken up. She doesn't have any anxiety towards her crate because she was back in there before we left, snoring away. The sleeping on the vents still bazzles me and I was thinking because the dog has one of those sheep skin bedpads and such dense fur that maybe those two combined were keeping her body heat trapped in her fur. I thought maybe if she removed the bedpad and let the dog lay on the plastic flooring, it will be atleast cooler to her which she obviously like if she'll go as far as sleeping on vents with the cold air blowing on her.

Husky puppies and alaskan malamutes have three layers of coats.Their breed is a very cold breed they originally come from very cold places and are not used to our weather my aunt had a husky and she did the same thing. But when there was snow on the ground and it was very cold she seemed very content and not panting. Maybe your puppy will like the cold weather better then me :lmao:
