Convictions tossed for 130-mph ride on runaway motorcycle

Yes it is POSSIBLE  however, personally i think :bs:

One of the first things I learned was how to use the kill switch. Pull the clutch, hit the kill and brake and drift to the side. Of course the guy could've been self / friend taught and the subject never came up.

Clutch, kill switch, Ignition Key.. etc.. etc.. the list goes on as to how many ways can you shut off a motorcycle.

Hell, most new(er) bikes you put down the kickstand the bike shuts off.

I have a hard time buying that he could think of route selection (veered onto the interstate as he didn't want to chance the steel grates on the upcoming bridge) and not think of 3 or 4 different ways to shut off the bike..

and as to the MOTOR BLOWING UP if he pulled in the clutch.. anyone know of a bike that DOESN'T have a rev limiter??

My 89' GoldWing doesn't. I can go way past the redline and it won't cut me off. Found that out by accident.....

'zactly. I was in a low gear and wound it up, glanced at the tach, was 1500 over redline (5400). Not horrific, but obviously no limiter, unless the limiter was higher than that. I'll have to check the manual.....
