Coolpix VS Cybershot

My current camera is less than two years old, but I'd like to replace it. It's not a bad camera, just slower than molasses! Can anyone offer their personal recommendation?

Have a coolpix and love it. Just have to learn more about it. In auto mode it takes great pictures. :yay:

Most point and shoot type cameras are going to be rather slow. Are there particular models of each you are looking at? Both model lines are pretty extensive to just ask Coolpix vs Cybershot.

You can go to www.dpreview to read their reviews and compare different models side-by-side.

That hasn't been my experience. Kodaks are SLOW as is my current Nikon (Coolpix). I've tested the current Coolpix cameras and they are a zillion times better than my current. I'm just a little hesitant buying another camera that's basically the same.

My sister also has almost the same Cyber Shot that I do, it's just slightly different. She told the sales person she wanted the fastest point and shoot for her budget range, and he said the Cyber Shot was the best.

Well, the newer models may be better than their predecessors they are still on the slow side compared to DSLR cameras. I guess I should have made mention of what I was comparing them to; sorry.
